Kumeu Boarding Kennels
Highest recommendation for Kumeu Kennels, well worth the drive.
When we had our new dog, we went around kennels in our area to check their suitability. It is extremely important to know that a special part of your family is well cared for when away from home.
Kumeu Kennels is further away than a couple close to us at Dairy Flat but we have found their spotlessly clean facilities and the extra large outdoor exercise areas to be perfect for Toby (pic on right).
On our return, we can see he has had a great holiday away from home with heaps of care and exercise.
Eager to return and somewhat reluctant to come home.

“My german shepherd has been staying with Kumeu Boarding Kennels since she was a puppy after the place was recommended by another long time customer.
For the last five years she has spent time there – sometimes up to three weeks plus when I am travelling in Europe – and the best thing is I know she is being well looked after. I particularly like the way she is matched up with other dogs for play and only worry that she won’t want to come home.

I discovered Kumeu Boarding Kennels through word of mouth after Sophie my airedale terrier came home from a weekend in another establishment with a frown on her face.
The team at KBC is very very good and Sophie wags her tail the moment we get to the driveway. Sophie has been going to KBC for eight years now – her longest stay was ten days while most of her visits are for weekends.
The team manage the dogs according to temperament so I never have to worry about her being either roughed by boisterous big dogs or annoyed by little yappers.
The big paddocks are good with sound fences and trees for shade and the dogs are given a rest in the afternoon so they don’t get run ragged. KBC is very clean and professionally run and I never worry about her.”
